Christmas House Tour - 2017
Well, another December is here (which means it's socially acceptable to show my decorated house - even though we've been snuggling up with tree lights since Halloween) and I think every year gets more exciting. The kids watch out the window for Rudolph & Spritzer (that's a reindeer I can totally get behind) every night, while Collin shakes the hell out of some jingle bells on the side of the house. The kids all gasp and theorize what the reindeer are doing tonight - Bellamy is always certain that Mrs. Claus is back home making cookies to get Santa nice & plump before Christmas. It's magic, totally hilarious and I hope we're still doing this when Baylor is 14.
There's nothing like home during Christmas and we've been cooped up inside with weather in the 20s - which normally might feel like a total drag, but something about the smells of christmas, the lights on the tree and all the extra fluff in the house makes it so dang cozy that nobody even cares to leave.
Each of the kids has one of these ornaments (from this shop) and I love them. So sweet and simple.
The kitchen shelves are always my favorite to decorate for the seasons - I put on my Anthropologie hat & get to work ;)
Funny story about the front door wreaths... There were two.. and then we decided to get very festive and head to the mountains for our family Christmas card photos last week (more on that soon). I thought it'd be so cheery & cute to have a wreath in the photos. And it was, but we left the damn wreath in the mountains on a pile of snow. So now, some fox is probably feeling festive af and all "best christmas ever" while i'm over here feeling so sorry for my other door. Back to Costco I go!
We finally replaced the chandelier in here and I'm loving this room, dolled up for Christmas!
