Life Lately

Life Lately

We seem to have hit a sweet spot over here - not too busy, just enough going on to keep the kids from having cabin fever, but enough time to have some stay at home days in our pjs and I couldn't be more pleased about it! There's days when we don't even get in the car and days where we have a few fun errands mixed in with a lunch date here or there. I'm soaking in these moments before end of school/vacation/birthday/summer madness comes our way.

We had the BEST easter weekend with family & friends - a few different egg hunts, way too much candy & treats, toys galore and of course lots of delicious food.

I left a few Easter goodies uncovered in my office (rookie move, I know) and Baylor straight up called me out on being the Easter bunny. I lied to his face about it, which I have very little regret about, but I know one day I'll have to fess up. For now, the flour footprints and bunny teeth marks in the chocolate bar seemed to justify that he really does exist.

Norah is growing at lightening speed, standing up and starting to walk around furniture and basically a teenager, Winnie is more obsessed with me than ever and would probably try to revert back to in utero if she was given the choice. We're in the middle of cutting out Bellamy's naps (I think...) and it's going as you'd expect. She was having a hard time falling asleep before 10 O'CLOCK PM OMG so we tried to cut naps and now she falls asleep earlier, but is a total emotional basket case. It's basically an episode of Ricki Lake. And trusty ol' Baylor Boone spends his days organizing legos and snuggling his baby sister... "mom... why does she love me SO much!?"

I finally finished the bulk of our bedroom and I can't wait to share with you - just waiting on a couple small accents to wrap things up.
